My understanding is official price is suggested retail price. This includes consumer markup but not taxes nor duties. What some people notice, perhaps for the first time, is that their country of residence collects more than others.Hi,
I was considering purchasing the newly released Raspberry Pi monitor and was quite surprised by the price.
It costs $196 here, which converts to about $145 USD, including shipping and taxes. However, the official Raspberry Pi website lists it at $100.
Is this $100 the consumer price, or is it the price retailers pay before markups?
Also, are other regions also paying such prices?
Thanks.
To get the official price it also helps to purchase from an authorised reseller.
