While part of that is true, Pi 4 does not do USB-PD and Pi 5 PSU will only supply 5v/5A when negotiated for via USB-PD. It will otherwise default to 5v/3A, which happily is what the 4B would like to receive.Yes, the Raspberry Pi 5 power supply works with the Raspberry Pi 4. Both use USB-C, and the RPi 5 supply provides more than enough power (5V 5A) for the RPi 4’s needs (5V 3A). It’s a safe and reliable option.
